The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render services into the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering companies for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency claimed it truly is alarmed regarding the large quantity of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The intention with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a superior variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office focused on service the area on a daily basis. The provider position designed for intervention ordeals a significant influx of potential beneficiaries, that makes it challenging to the office to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more resources to empower the servicing of all consumers and improve usage of Social Assistance companies,” website the agency said.
